Kingsguard || Hand & Half Bastard Sword

True to the origin of the word 'Bâtard', old French for "of dual nature", the bastard sword represents that which holds a foot in two camps, harnessing the power of both. Power, speed, and the versatility to cross the boundary between them at will.

Midway in length between arming sword and longsword, it finds its home within both hands as well as within just one.

Its double edged blade's geometry and length strikes the balance between reach and maneuverability.

-A blade of stout White Ash
-Hilt fittings of Black Walnut
-Supple 4oz leather wrap about the grip
-Boiled linseed oil to awaken the colours
-A double-seal coat of natural shellac

Kingsguard measures 45" / 113cm in total length,
led by a royal 34" / 87cm long blade,
with 6.75" / 17cm of grip at the hilt,
before ending at the substantial wheel pommel.
