The experience of commission

The experience of commission

Einar TK

One of my great joys in this work is sharing photos of progress on a running batch as it develops, allowing patrons of said batch to witness their pieces take shape through the stages, from rough sawn lumber and raw leather all the way to complete amalgamation. One's piece becomes something they can feel a connection to from its very inception, long before it ever lands into their hands.

Patrons are invited to join in the pleasure of observing the alchemy of matter, both the controlled destruction and the fusion that takes place in bringing concept to reality.

Each update a small fiesta, meant to build both excitement and a bond to the work in progress.

On completion, the final update, and a celebratory message filled with gratitude.
Then, a question:
"Would you like to take a peek at the finished piece, or prefer to save the unveiling for the full unboxing experience? :]"

At last, once finished, the piece is packed up in padded foam wrap, and enclosed in an in-house made cardboard box, cut custom to every dimension to fit the item perfectly.

Shipping is then sent via Canada Post, and typically arrives within 1-2 weeks within USA and Canada.
International shipments are expedited, with express options available, and we coordinate these details together, with breakdown of prices and expected travel time.

Finally, on dropoff to the post office, the tracking number is shared, and the package can be followed along on its journey homing in on your front porch.
