This upgrade targets the very makeup of the sword in your purchase. It selects an ultradense hardwood, bursting with vivid colour and sleekness.
Its luxury will mark itself as a symbol of status, a gleaming icon of a finer grade of tool.
It will demand of your might to wield, as it is no featherweight for the feint of heart nor of arm. The heft is of another league, as each swing throws a highly concentrated mass, its presence will make itself felt.

The blade and hilt fittings become forged from my selection of premium foreign hardwoods, powerful timbers from South America and Africa - character is unparalleled, and its richness undeniable. Not merely a mark of affluence, the very performance of the piece is lifted to another level.

  • Purpleheart - South America

    Janka hardness: 2090

The absolute stunner in cherry lozenge red. A solid mass of blazing
burgundy beauty, it has never once failed to create a truly special
piece. Incredibly high density and heft, it yields with it a truly
noticeable difference in the swing of a purpleheart blade. It is also
for these reasons that it will forever be my choice for the head of the
    mighty Trjollnir.

  • Jatoba - South America

    Janka hardness: 2820

Also known as Brazilian cherry, this is a true combat grade maeterial.
Gorgeous in its lustre under a coat of oil bringing to bear its warm
reddish brown, it contrasts majestivally against deep dark woods or
black leather grip wrap. Densely loaded like purpleheart, with
absolutely impeccable hardness and toughness, it is a true premium
foreign hardwood made for the highest grade of training sword.

  • Padauk - Central / West Africa

    Janka hardness: 1725

Among the most vibrant reddish orange one might ever live to see in a
lumber. It is a particular pleasure to the eye, as well as to the hand
once sanded to its notorious glass-like smoothness. Not the hardest
timber of the selection, but certainly among the most radiant.
Lightweight and of medium hardness, it is favoured in decorative and
    light training pieces.

  • Wenge - Central Africa

    Janka hardness: 1630

A timber of pure luxury. Undulating of black with streaks of brown
bands, boasting tremendous density and high hardness, this wood excels
as hilt fittings and accents which embody the principle of weight and
heavy contrast. Wenge partners absolutely exquisitely with the other
vibrant woods listed above as their partnering hilt fitting, balancing
energetic luminosity with the concentrated pigments of the earth.

All elements come together to create something beyond the typical, exceeding the standard.

This construction method grades the sword as an object of lavishness and luxury, a token of the magnificence of the natural world hidden from view. The combinations of these powerful colours, complimenting each other a balance of bright and dark, brilliant and earthy, imbues these pieces already born of love with an otherworldly potency for majesty and splendor.
