Garrison || Medieval Arming Dagger

The quintessential Knight's Dagger, known the world over.
A double edged broad blade, coming to a daring point, bolstered by broad quillons, and counterbalanced with a substantial pommel, takes it place as the essential sidearm of the era, trusted by both noble and wayward brigand alike.

Simple, but elegant. Practical, yet dignified.
Garrison sought, with its every curve and proportion, to represent the logos of the era of steel and steed.

Its crescent crossguard juts out with graceful curvature to protect the hand and act as striking surface.
The wheel pommel, with concave hollow edges, gives meat to the tail end of the dagger, whilst securing one's grip from both above and below with a snug fit.
And finally, the stout double edged blade, tapering gradually into the sleek geometry of its point, and embellished with a crisp fuller.

As a supporting offhand in conjunction with the sword, Garrison serves valiantly as a tool with which to parry and counterattack, or to close to distance and engage in extreme close quarters once one's primary steel has been lost.

It is the faithful companion, a steadfast ally, a reminder of strength not just of blade but also of heart.
It serves to honour the legacy of guardians, as an emblem of protection, both for self and for those under our care.

-Hilt fittings of Black Walnut
-Supple 4oz leather wrap about the grip
-Boiled linseed oil to awaken the colours
-A double-seal coat of natural shellac

Garrison measures 17.5" / 44.5cm in total length,
led by a 11.5" / 29cm long blade,
with 4" / 10cm of grip at the hilt,
before ending in a substantial wheel pommel.
